Courtroom Procedures And Appeals
Summary
Administrative reviews are typically heard in law courts, not chancery, and pre-trials are uncommon. To find a judges rules, check the courts website or contact the court clerk. For FOIA requests and transcripts, visit the clerks office. When filing a motion for continuance, include relevant appeals and explain their connection to your case. Avoid ex parte communication with judges; instead, file motions through the court. If representing yourself, draft motions in the first person. Attach relevant appeals to motions to demonstrate their importance. Always ensure your documents are concise and focused.Full Conversation

Here i will copy paste my appeal and you tell mePro Se Complaint for Administrative Review:
I. Introduction
My name is Danielle (Dani) Inman, and i am a prospective candidate for the Bensenville Park District Commissioner. I am appealing the Election Board's */*/* decision to deny me ballot access due to an alleged insufficient number of required signatures. Ballot access is a fundamentat right that should not be denied lightly.
II. Statement of Facts
I submitted * signatures with my candidate packet to run for Bensenville Park District Commissioner. The requirement states: "You must obtain * vatid signatures or *% of the number of ballots cast for commissioner or trustee in the last election, whichever is greater." (see exhibit A).
The election commission debated whether the required number of signatures should be based on *% of the total ballots cast in the municipal election or *% of the commissioner's totat. The requirement DOES NOT state that it must be most recent elections nor att commissioners' total I based my calculation on Rich Johnson's last election total, as he is
the one l'm running against: (*,*)*% = *.* (see exhibit B). Even if we consider the most
recent election totats: (*,*)*% = *.* or (*,*)*% = *.* (Exhibit C&D). Despite
objector Special's claims, the signature requirement does not state that it must be *% of the total ballots cast in the municipal election (requiring *). There is no clear,
straightforward answer, except for one thing: the requirement is to collect * signatures, and I submitted *.
IlI. Grounds for Appeal
The Election Board's decision is not supported by a clear and consistent interpretation of
the signature requirement. The Election Board had difficulty determining whether the
signature reguirement should be based on the total ballots cast in the municipal election or the commissioner's total.
IV. Argument
- Inconsistent Interpretation: The Election Board's inability to provide a consistent
interpretation constitutes an undue burden on candidates.
- Adequete Signatures Provided: I have provided * signatures, meeting the onty clear requirement of *.
- Critical Errors and Missteps: Multiple errors and missteps in the filing and objection
process caused undue burden and disrupted the integrity of the election process. These
actions compromised the fairness and transparency that are essential- Substantial Right to Ballot Access: llinois courts agree that ballot access is a substantial right not lightly denied. The case of Collazo v. Illinois State Board of Elections emphasizes the importance of this right and the need for substantial compliance with the election
cone
- Conftict of interest: Evidence of conflict of interest involving Park District Board President Richard Johnson, who secured the FOlA instead of the objector, compromises the integrity and impartiality of the process. This raises concerns about procedural fairness and potential misuse of authority.
V. Evidence
Exhibits, FOIA, and witness statement attached

I’m gonna call the objee we vote as my witness in the beg and have her walk me step by step how she came to object my oetions .. i’m also gonna ask her because in the beginning it says you know in the tent for a full and fair election and I’m gonna ask her what her definition is and then I’m gonna use the Coirt acceptable definition with Social uses integrity no you know no fraudulent blah blah blah see if she agrees and then I’m gonna have her OK. Can you just walk me through the process of how you came to my petition and then have her walk me through and I know it like the back of my hand so she doesn’t cause we know it was Rich and that other Lawyer so I’m gonna catch her up and then go about it that way, so if I’m pulling her as a witness and then I’ll pull Johnson and then I’m using my neighbor who was at the park district who saw the I mean who said like hey you know why we’re playing your petitions because I learned that elected officials and the representation cannot object petitions something you learn and he definitely is hiding behind her many reasons
It sounds like you've got a strategic plan. Here’s a concise guide to strengthen your witness examination:
*. Establish Credibility: Begin by having the witness confirm their identity and role.
*. Definitions: Ask for their definition of a "full and fair election."
*. Process: Have the witness walk you through their objection process.
*. Highlight Inconsistencies: Identify any inconsistencies in their testimony.
*. Expose Bias: Show any connections between the witness and Rich Johnson.
*. Support Evidence: Use your neighbor’s testimony to support your claims.
