Full Conversation

my son has had several custody hearing in front of magistrate but themother of his child has not shown up and has missed the dna testing date for the court. we learned she has gone to the phillipines. what can we do
Your son may request the court for a default judgment due to the mother's non-attendance. Ohio law allows this when one party doesn't participate. However, international cases can be complex, so consulting with a family lawyer would be beneficial.
the magistrate said the mother was not able to be served because the address was correct. They thought N was a W. and could not find the address.
It seems there was a mix-up with the address. Your son might consider hiring a process serving company to ensure the mother gets properly served. If she's indeed in the Philippines, international service rules apply. It's best to consult an attorney for precise guidance.
