Father and grandmother of my children violated the court order and abducted my children for two weeks and I had to get a motion for abduction prevention measures and the police had to go get them and then they were granted more visitation time
I'm really sorry to hear you're going through this. That sounds incredibly stressful. Have there been any new developments or changes to the court order since the police intervention?
Yes I have a full APR of my oldest daughter and nobody had custody of my youngest daughter and the judge granted emergency jurisdiction over my youngest daughter giving me physical custody
It sounds like you’ve been through a lot. Since you now have physical custody of your youngest daughter under emergency jurisdiction, are you looking to make this arrangement permanent or need help with enforcing the current order?
Well I went to Family Court to address this issue and the judge did nothing I fell restriction parenting time and I also got my youngest daughter added to my oldest daughter APR so I have the same custody of my youngest daughter has it to my oldest daughter now but the judge did nothing to restrict parenting time for granted them changing in parenting time giving them overnight and dropped the abduction prevention measures and did nothing did not put any orders in to prevent abduction again after they already abducted them for two weeks and cutting off contact with me in the police had intervened and remove my children physically
That sounds like a very challenging situation. You may need to file a motion to modify the parenting time order and reinstate the abduction prevention measures.
Here are a few steps you might consider:
- File a motion to modify parenting time in the same court.
- Provide evidence of the previous abduction and police intervention.
