I was served with a small claims on March * that was filed on March 14th, *. It stated that I had 14 days to respond from date of file. I was served at work and could not respond on the 29th due to it being Good Friday and the courthouse was closed. The papers served did not have a disposition court date on it so I could contest and/or represent myself. Well, today, my employer received in the mail of a dispostion being granted on May 3rd, * and being post marked on May 6th, *. But did not receive it until May 21st, *. Also, the judge that signed the order knows me personally. So, two questions: *. Is there anything I can do to reverse the disposition and *. With the judge knowing me personally, does he not have to recant himself from hearing the case or making a judgment?

*. In Alabama, you may file an appeal or motion to set aside the judgment within a certain period after the disposition has been granted.
