Hi ****! It sounds like you're considering whether to appeal your case or take another action. Here's what you might consider:
- Motion to Transfer: Since the case was in the wrong courtroom, ask if you can file a motion to transfer the case to the appropriate court, like Small Claims Court.
- Motion for Reconsideration: You might file a motion for reconsideration if you want the court to review their decision due to new evidence or errors in the court's decision.
- Appeal: If you seek more compensation and believe the decision was unjust, you could inquire about appealing the decision.
When speaking to the court clerk, explain your situation and ask for guidance on the appropriate paperwork to file. It's often helpful to clarify your objective, whether it's to present new evidence or seek additional compensation.
Ok the teason i asked you because i was asking for *.* million and the judge said that hevwas going to award me $*,* and i kind of figured that's why it wasn't in small claims ani feel it's worth more than than $*,*? I will be asking for *.* and then what kind of court my case will be in
If you're seeking $*,*, your case will likely be outside the jurisdiction of Small Claims Court, as they typically handle cases with claims up to a certain limit (often around $*,* to $*,*). Here’s what you might consider:
- Circuit Court: For claims above the small claims limit, you would generally file in Circuit Court in Missouri.
- Consult Legal Advice: Consider speaking with a lawyer to evaluate your case and explore options for presenting your evidence.
Would you like help finding a local lawyer who can assist further with your case?
Well the case is in st.clair county court house it's not in missouri and i know that i can file there but what i'm asking is what court will this be
If your case is in St. Clair County, Illinois, and you're seeking $*,*, it would likely be filed in the Circuit Court, as Small Claims Court would not handle such a large amount. You may want to consult with a local attorney to ensure you're taking the right steps, especially given the complexity of the case.
