The agency was the hen program and had a division called Share and care house that was supposed to pay my rent on time every month and they were late one month and it started an eviction process. I went to the eviction hearing and I got people that were suing me to agree There would be no eviction on my record. I wont to owe any money. this was on December 20th of last year. that I would be out January 31st *. the state agency was late on my rent. That is what Started the eviction process. After the court, the agency would not help me get into a new place or to move or to look for a new place or anything. I'm disabled and I'm elderly, and they are the cause of my eviction. I. Could not get out of there January 31st, they did not pay for January and I couldn't get out of there until almost the end of February, which also they did not pay. I did not meet my own requirements. Now I'm homeless and I've been homeless since. The end of February because of them,
Hi ****! I'm really sorry to hear about your situation. You might have grounds to sue the agency for breach of contract or negligence. Here are a few points to consider:
- Breach of Contract: If the agreement explicitly stated they would pay rent on time, and they failed, this might be a breach.
- Negligence: If their actions directly led to your eviction and homelessness, they might be liable for negligence.
- Disability Rights: As a disabled and elderly individual, there may be additional protections under state and federal laws.
