Hello Ray, nice to meet you. How can I assist you with your legal concerns today?
I believe my civil rights were violated 16 years ago in Denver Colorado. It was the 8th Amendment cruel and unusual punishment and it's still going on today
Hello Ray, I'm sorry to hear about your situation. To better understand and advise you, could you provide more details about the circumstances surrounding this violation of your 8th Amendment rights?
This is linksy I was on probation for a DUI and my daughter passed away and I remembered that I had an appointment coming up with probation so I called her and told her what was happening and that I didn't know when the funeral was going to be we hadn't been notified yet and I found out that we are going to be able to view her body on the 25th to make sure she was okay for viewing so I called the probation office Thursday morning which just so happened to be Samantha's birthday and my probation officer made me go down there that day that we were supposed to view her body which was her birthday under threat of arrest if I didn't get there by noon and I went after that I went in front of a judge because I stopped going there the judge agreed with me that he wouldn't go back there either and he dismissed all the charges but yet the other day I went to get my new ID and I can't get a driver's license in Missouri because of the fine hasn't been paid and the judge ruled it a civil matter I have the papers if we could get the other recording you know for sure what I'm talking about because he wanted that done he knew that I was treated horrible and he wanted to finish that up for me but yet it's still following me 18 years later wow sorry for that
I'm sorry for your loss and the difficult situation you're in. As for the unpaid fine that's blocking your driver's license renewal, it's common in many states including Missouri. You may need to pay the fine or consult a local attorney for help. For the alleged 8th Amendment violation, consider seeking legal advice on filing a civil rights lawsuit.
