Wrongful Incarceration Legal Options

Summary

Your situation involves wrongful incarceration, mental health misdiagnosis, and potential SSDI reimbursement claims. The Illinois Court of Claims handles wrongful incarceration cases, and SSDI benefits are typically suspended during incarceration. Reimbursement may require specific documentation and legal arguments. Legal aid organizations or pro bono services in Illinois might offer assistance, but many do not handle cases stemming from criminal matters. Your case, involving significant legal issues, could be high-value for a lawyer. Consider connecting with local lawyers who might work on a contingency basis or offer pro bono services.
