My name is Patrick I'm *
Hi Patrick! Could you please tell me more about your legal issue and your location? This will help me provide you with the most relevant information.
I'm from Suffolk County New York I was wondering if it's legal someone who discriminated against my brother at Job corps but I wanted to send it to her church email I found on her Facebook. I’d be so happy to share my thoughts, along with some Bible verses, about something that happened! I was wondering if it's alright for me to share my view about something that happened? If you don't mind me asking. There's something from my past I'd like to share with you – an experience from years ago that's still on my mind. May I share the story with you? Hi, I hope you're doing well. I wanted to speak with you about a concern I have regarding a member of your church community. Could we chat about it in a respectful and open-minded way? If you don't mind me asking. I value your perspective and hope we can find a positive resolution. With love and humility, I want to discuss something delicate with you. Scripture guides me to address hurts personally and gently (Matthew *:*). May I share openly with you how your actions impacted me? My heart seeks healing and understanding – not strife or gossip. Will you listen with an open heart? Despite our differences, I want to approach you with kindness. I believe in resolving issues face-to-face, as Matthew *:* suggests. Could we talk privately to discuss how your actions affected me? My goal is understanding and resolution, not gossip or strife. If you listen, perhaps we can find common ground – 'you have won them over. A christian pastor who is a woman in New York named Tammy Torelli claims to be a Christian and on her Facebook is holding sign saying " differently abled" with her fellow church members trying to pretend like she supports the disabled but she discriminated against brother alongside Destiny Morrison at Job Corps both ladies claim to Christians. Like when Dale got rejected from Job Corps and I think it was probably discrimination. They said: "You did not demonstrate that you are reasonably expected to participate successfully in group situations." and: "You or your parent/legal guardian did not sign the "Authorization for Use and Disclosure of Your Health Information" form." How would they know unless they tested Dale by putting him in a group or something? They just talked one on one he told them he was in a special needs class and he was disabled. If they didn't give him any group setting tests to test your behavior, then how can they say I am unfit in a group setting? I think that he was treated unfairly or differently particularly because he is disabled and I want something to be done about it the people who did this on the sheet I received in the mail was from Destiny Morrison and there was another lady at the Patchogue NY location the blonde asking about the type of class he was in and stuff related to that. They did not even do an experiment to see if they are right about the group setting thing. Usually when we try to do stuff like Job Corps, trying to get a job or other stuff we get rejected and it's not fair. Also, if we get a job, imagine having to pay taxes for job corps, even if they turned you down, since the Job Corps is run by the government. Job Corps discriminated against Dale for having a disability and they even tried to lie about it when we tried to report them for the discrimination. And in a biblically based Church they wouldn't have a woman being a pastor anyway. Her job is a job corps admission counselor but she's a pastor on the side. On top of that, she said rude things to my brother like can you even wake yourself up in the morning? And can you read what is on the paper? She said those things about him because of his disability. We are supposed to stand up against oppression and defend the rights of the oppressed. People are supposed to be supporting the weak and oppressed. We should love others and to look out for those who are weak and to defend the weak. The Bible teaches us to defend the weak and protect the vulnerable in our society. In the Book of Proverbs, it says "Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy." (Proverbs *:*-*) Moreover, in the Book of Psalms, it says "Defend the weak and the fatherless; uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed." (Psalms *:*) These passages remind us of our responsibility to advocate for justice and compassion for those who are in need of support and protection. We are commanded to protect the weak and vulnerable members of society. Proverbs *:*-* states, "Open your mouth for the mute, for the rights of all the unfortunate. Open your mouth, judge righteously, and defend the rights of the afflicted and needy." It is our moral duty to stand up for those who are unable to stand up for themselves and to provide support and care for those in need. May we always strive to act with compassion and kindness towards the weak and vulnerable in our communities. It is important to defend oneself and others against aggression. Tammy's behavior is unacceptable and goes against the principles of equality and respect for all individuals. Discrimination based on disability is never justifiable, and lying about it to escape consequences only compounds the wrongdoing. It is especially troubling if the church the woman is a part of claims to support disabled people while not holding herself accountable for discriminatory actions. It is important for individuals and organizations to truly embody their values and treat everyone with fairness and dignity. This behavior is hypocritical and insincere. Discrimination against individuals with disabilities is abhorrent and goes against the principles of inclusivity and respect. Holding a sign showing support for people with disabilities while actively discriminating against a specific individual with a disability is not only dishonest but also harmful. It is important for individuals to truly live out their values and treat all individuals with dignity and respect, regardless of their abilities. Hypocrisy and discrimination have no place in a compassionate and inclusive society. The Center for Constitutional Rights (CCR) defines persecution as a crime that involves severe discrimination that results in the denial of fundamental rights. The Bible, in the book of Leviticus *:*, states: "You shall not steal; you shall not deal falsely, and you shall not lie to one another." This commandment emphasizes the importance of truthfulness and honesty in our interactions with others. Additionally, in the book of Proverbs *:*, it is written: "Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, but those who act faithfully are his delight." This verse reinforces the message that falsehood is displeasing to God, while honesty and integrity are valued traits. Treating others with kindness, respect, and compassion is of utmost importance. Discriminating against individuals with disabilities goes against the core values of our faith. Leviticus *:* teaches us, "Do not curse the deaf or put a stumbling block in front of the blind, but fear your God. I am the Lord." Therefore, it is not only morally wrong to discriminate against handicapped people but also dishonest to lie about such behavior. As it says in Proverbs *:*. "Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, but those who act faithfully are his delight" It is essential to strive to be truthful and always treat others with dignity and respect. I hope we can discuss this further – I value your thoughts and would love to hear your perspective. I believe in equal liberty and justice for all individuals, regardless of disability. Every person deserves the same rights and opportunities as anyone else – it's about individual freedom and fairness. When we see Christians who mock the disabled, It means that there is a disconnect between the teachings of Jesus, who showed love and compassion towards the disabled, and the actions of some individuals who claim to follow him. By mocking the disabled, these individuals are not embodying the values of kindness, acceptance, and empathy that Jesus exemplified. This behavior is not in line with the teachings of Christianity and goes against the principles of love and respect for all individuals, regardless of their abilities or disabilities. Christians are called to love others and to look out for those who are weaker, not to intimidate or manipulate people. I've written something heartfelt and hope you'll take a moment to read it – your thoughts and feedback mean the world to me. Would you kindly read my letter and share your perspective? I've shared my thoughts and feelings in writing – would you kindly take a moment to read them? I wanted to express my perspective and hear your thoughts in return. I've been reflecting on what happened and felt guided to share my thoughts alongside some Bible verses that brought me solace – hoping they comfort you too. My heart wants to process this together with faith. I wanted to correct a misunderstanding about my brother's accomplishments. He actually graduated with a high school diploma from a Regents */* class and went on to Suffolk Community College – not a life skills program as assumed. I'm proud of his achievements and wanted to share accurate info! According to the Bible, Jesus said, "Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven," which is found in Matthew *:*. This essentially means that when doing good deeds, don't do them to gain attention or praise from others, but do them with a sincere heart motivated by God alone. Key points from this verse: Avoid showing off: Don't perform acts of kindness or charity with the intention of being seen and admired by others. Secret acts are rewarded: When you do good deeds in private, God sees and rewards your actions. Focus on genuine motives: The true value of your actions comes from your heart, not the recognition of others. The Bible, specifically in Matthew *:*-*, clearly states that one should not perform good deeds publicly to be seen by others, as doing so is considered "showing off" and will not be rewarded by God; instead, one should do good deeds privately and let God see them. About a female pastor: Let's look at the evidence. We find this in * Corinthians chapter *: "As in all the congregations of the saints, women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the Law says. If they want to inquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church." This seems like a straightforward passage. And God is the one who inspired the Bible. In Isaiah *:* God says that the word of the Lord will last forever, and he says the same thing again in * Peter *:*-*. So here we have God, in his eternal and everlasting Word, saying that it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church. Then there is this section from * Timothy chapter *: "Also that women should adorn themselves modestly and sensibly in seemly apparel, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or costly attire but by good deeds, as befits women who profess religion. Let a woman learn in silence with all submissiveness. I permit no woman to teach or to have authority over men; she is to keep silent." It is hard to miss God's meaning when he says something as direct as, "I permit no woman to teach or to have authority over men; she is to keep silent." It is certainly a complex and potentially controversial situation when a female pastor believes in a religion that has the Bible that dictates women should remain silent in churches. Such beliefs can be seen as contradictory to the pastor's role as a leader and teacher in the congregation. The Bible teaches us to treat all people with respect and kindness, regardless of their physical or mental abilities. In Leviticus *:*, it is written, "You shall not curse the deaf or put a stumbling block before the blind, but you shall fear your God: I am the Lord." This verse reminds us that it is not only wrong to discriminate against those with disabilities, but it is also our responsibility to help and support them. If someone discriminates against the disabled and then denies it, they are not only going against the teachings of the Bible but also failing to take responsibility for their actions. It is important to address such behavior with compassion and understanding. while also holding the individual accountable for their actions. The Ten Commandments given to Moses includes: “You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor” (Exodus *:*). There are some passages that suggest that women should not hold positions of leadership in the church. For example, * Timothy *:* states that "I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man; she must be silent." This passage has been interpreted by some to mean that women should not hold positions of leadership in the church. Speaking of false ministers who “preach another Jesus,” Paul wrote, “For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works” (II Cor. *:*, *-*). Now notice II Corinthians *:*-*. The apostle Paul warned of the cunning with which Satan’s ministers successfully deceive: “For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.” : “And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light” (II Cor. *:*). Speaking to a group of Jews, Jesus says, “You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies” (John *:*). The Bible says, “Satan…deceives the whole world” (Rev. *:*). "And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him." Revelation *:* (KJV) Is a deceitful pastor serving God or Satan? What does Judaism say about this?: Yes, the commandment "Thou shalt not oppress the weak" applies to all individuals, including those who are disabled. In Judaism, every person is valued and worthy of respect, regardless of any physical or mental disabilities they may have. We are taught to treat all individuals with kindness, compassion, and empathy, following the principle of "Love your neighbor as yourself" (Leviticus *:*). Disabilities are not a measure of a person's worth or value in the eyes of our faith. In Judaism, every individual is considered to be created in the image of God (Genesis *:*), regardless of any physical or mental disabilities they may have. The Torah teaches us to treat all people with respect, kindness, and compassion, including those with disabilities. In fact, there are specific commandments and laws in Jewish tradition that emphasize the importance of caring for and supporting individuals with disabilities. For example, Leviticus *:* states, "Do not curse the deaf or put a stumbling block in front of the blind, but fear your God. | am the Lord." This verse teaches us not to take advantage of someone's disability or mistreat them in any way. Additionally, Jewish tradition places a strong emphasis on the concept of "tikkun olam," which means repairing the world. This includes working towards creating a more inclusive and accessible society for people with disabilities. Overall, Judaism values the inherent worth and dignity of every individual, and teaches us to treat all people with compassion and respect, regardless of any disabilities they may have. The Bible teaches that every person conceived in this world is a unique creation of God. Ultimately, in the eyes of Judaism, individuals with disabilities are valued members of our community, deserving of love, respect, and support just like anyone else. It is our responsibility to ensure that they are able to fully participate in society and have their needs met with dignity and compassion. There is a commandment in the Jewish * commandments it says " Not to oppress the weak—Exodus *:* " About the disabled we should show them compassion and serve them as equals. Remember, Jesus healed the blind, the mute, and the lame during Jesus's time on earth. Each one of them was a precious child of God, deserving of dignity and respect. We must not look upon them with condescension or sadness, but rather with understanding and empathy. For we are all in need of healing, whether from physical infirmity or spiritual blindness. Additional notes: Bullying is hurting or threatening people who seem weak. If a church does not give disabled people the same equal opportunities as non-disabled individuals, it could be considered discrimination. Discrimination on the basis of of people with disabilities goes against the principles of equality and fairness. All individuals should be treated equally and without discrimination regardless of their disabilities and abilities. About the Bible : The four gospel accounts record that Christ performed many miracles during His ministry. Many of His most dramatic were healings. He made the lame walk—gave sight to the blind—healed lepers—healed others with the palsy—and “healed all that were sick” (Matt. *:*). He also performed many healings of the mind by casting out demons from those who were possessed. Stand Against Oppression God commands the believers to stand for justice and protect the rights of the oppressed. This includes people with disabilities. I want to promote justice and equality and that no one should be oppressed or treated unfairly based on their physical or mental state. Jesus commanded to invite the disabled to feast with you. "Then Jesus said to the man who had invited him, “When you give a lunch or a dinner, don’t invite only your friends, brothers, relatives, and rich neighbors. At another time they will invite you to eat with them. Then you will have your reward. Instead, when you give a feast, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame and the blind. Then you will be blessed, because they cannot pay you back. They have nothing. But you will be rewarded when the good people rise from death.” Luke *:*‭-‬* ICB
