Hi, I need some advice. If anyone has faced similar situation. Please help me out. I came to US in * Dec on F1 visa. The application I submitted that time reflects my mom’s incorrect Date of Birth. The issue here is she went for her Visa interview twice and got rejected. In her last interview the consulate officer told her that the DOB is not same. We weren’t aware of this DOB discrepancy. Since the DOB is different on her passport and my application. That’s when we realized where we went wrong. Is there a way I can change her DOB on my application. I am currently on H1B. i140 approved. I will be applying for visa extension next year in March. Is there a form we can submit and get it corrected or such? Please provide your inputs? Should I reach out to immigration attorney. If yes, can you all please recommend an affordable one.
