I am a green card holder since August *. In * I was cited for aggravated speeding in Illinois which is a class B misdemeanor. I pled guilty and was given court supervision for one year. I have not had any violations since and I believe my case was dismissed. I am concerned about my upcoming international trip in July. I have traveled outside of the country and returned in February of this year without any problems. Should I be worried about any possible issues in my future travels due to stricter enforcement by Trump administration? What documentation should I bring with me? I requested the final disposition for my speeding case from the court in * when going through Adjustment of Status, however they just sent me a receipt of the fine I paid.
Hey ****! Since you've traveled without issues recently, you likely won't face problems. However, it's wise to carry:
- Your green card.
- A copy of your court supervision and payment receipt.
- Any documentation proving the case's dismissal.
Would you like more detailed guidance on obtaining those documents?
