So, my partner from USA and I from Croatia would like to get married next year, but we would like to have the wedding in Croatia and move to USA after the wedding. So my question is- can we get married legally in USA on my tourist visa, come back to Croatia and have the ceremony, and then go back to the USA on a marriage visa and start my immigration process there.
You can legally get married in the USA on a tourist visa, but it might complicate your immigration process. The best approach would be:
- Get married in Croatia.
- Your partner files for a K-* fiancé(e) visa or a CR-* spousal visa.
- Enter the USA on the appropriate visa and start your immigration process.
