I made a 3d model based on the sunglasses pit vipers which is a public company, the 3d model is a little different with the style in the shades, just a little, but I made it myself and I used the name Vanity Vipers, did I violate the DMCA?
Hello ****,
Based on your description, you might not have violated the DMCA. But, to confirm:
- Did you use any copyrighted material from Pit Vipers in your 3D model or in creating Vanity Vipers?
- Is the design of the shades significantly different from the original?
Please note, the name similarity might raise trademark concerns.
No, but pit viper makes their own gradient color design in which I made my own similar to theirs to put on the shades
