Hi there! Could you please provide a bit more detail about the stealing situation you're dealing with? For example, was it a shoplifting incident, a theft accusation, or something else? This will help me provide you with the most relevant legal information.
I want this to be short. You see, i was reading the comments of a music video, i saw a comment asking if they could use the music for one of their videos, back then, i never took something seriously and kept joking about everything. I said yes, even though i didn't make the music or even help in making it. Later he replied with: i am retired now but thanks. I didn't think much of it until now, i thought: maybe he changed his mind and he wants to use the music now, so i immediately typed an response where i lied to him that i replied to the wrong comment. What should i do? He doesn't respond to me when i asked if he used the music. How can i fix this situation, please help me out. I am scared that i will get sued or that i will get a copyright claim, or that i have to pay the price.
Hey! No worries, here's what you can do:
*. Relax: Your comment likely doesn't hold legal weight as you don't own the copyright.
*. Clear Communication: If you haven't already, clearly state in a follow-up comment that you do not have rights to the music and cannot grant permission.
*. Future Reference: Avoid giving permissions for anything you do not own.
Would you like more detailed steps on how to handle such situations in the future?
