My girlfriend voluntarily checked herself into a mental institution yesterday because she was feeling suicidal. She was intoxicated when the officers came to pick her up so they brought her to a recovery institution. Today she tried to check herself out but the doctor threatened her saying if she tried to leave the doctor would put a hold on her discharge. The doctor said she’d keep her there for as much time as she wanted even though she voluntarily checked herself in.
