Property deed
Hello ****, could you please specify your location and more information about the issue you're facing with your property deed?
Yes my deceased grandmother has property in south carolina, where a will is in place leaving to her grandchildren. However, the deed is in her husband name, now deceased. I believe her grandchildren only owns */* of the property. I was paying taxes on this property for many years. Do not know what to do next. Thanks
Hello ****,
In South Carolina:
- If the property deed was solely in your grandfather's name, the property would pass through his estate.
- If there was a will, the property would go to the named beneficiary.
I suggest contacting a probate attorney for help.
