Executor Mismanagement And Legal Concerns
Summary
In Pennsylvania, executors must adhere to probate laws and fulfill their duties as outlined in the will. As an heir, you have the right to request inventory and financial information related to the estate. If you suspect mismanagement by the executor or misconduct by the estate attorney, you can report unethical behavior to the states bar association. Consider writing a detailed letter to the bar association and the law firm, outlining specific instances of misconduct and providing supporting evidence. This can prompt an investigation into the attorneys conduct. If you need further guidance, consider seeking legal advice from a local attorney.Full Conversation
She attempted to sell all moms personal belongings behind my back . When I found out I called the estate lawyer and told her she is supposed to be making sure the will and probate are being administered as required. And my sister was not allowing me to have anything. I had to call * times before the lawyer finally spoke to my sister , who then let me have a few items.. She never filed inventory and asset due 9 months after moms death or estate taxes. I think she mismanaged the entire estate and funds from an insurance settlement and that's why repairs on house took 2 years. I wrote a letter of demand and said that I wanted an inventory and asset accounting within 30 days. Or I would have her removed. I sent copy to estate lawyer That was 2 months ago. She's snubbing her nose at will , not being accountable to me, sold everything of moms during last 2 months and gave me the leftover. Am I correct that the estate lawyer should be making sure probate rules are followed?
It sounds like you're facing a complex situation. In Colorado, the executor is responsible for managing the estate per the will and probate laws. The estate lawyer should ensure compliance with legal procedures. If the executor fails, you may seek to have them removed through court.

Once I sent that letter my sister has been working on the house to get it sold , but no asset or financial report. There was insurance money to repair house and replace contents. Mine and my mom's. There was a fire. It was *% done when Mom died. Instead of licensed contractors finishing and being done in 2 months, she has been having a friend of hers do all the work. Slowly. And paying him a lot I'm sure. She's gone on vacations to Key West and has the same friend remodel her house, instead of working on Mom's. And she did not and will not replace anything of mine even though insurance company had an itemized list of every thing they paid to replace. My moms gold jewelry is missing from my sister's house. Do I have a right to that inventory and financial information as an heir

I have a question. I didn't push the subject since things were moving finally, and she asked me to get my parents bedroom set and a few other furniture items that she let me have. Insisted it be today. I needed to rent a u- haul and helpers and told her I would need some money advanced so I could get a storage unit also.. I called the estate attorney first and left message that I was requesting some of my funds to move, and that my sister would need to do that. When the lawyer called me back she said ok,no problem. I will be sending a contract to your sister for you to sign saying it is coming out of estate funds and was an advance. Standard procedure. $*. I glanced at it, signed and my sister hurried me out. My mom's house and property are not high value. The house will sell for $*,*. I'm upset that the lawyer and my sister were dishonest and lied. Do I have the right to ask the law firm to look into her inadequate and sneaky behavior ? She doesn't have my best interests at heart.
