I’ll try to make this as short as possible I have an ex-fiancé wanting to take me to small claims court for $*. I did borrow the money from him and signed s paper but it was not notarized. I was seeing him for 18yrs and was engaged for the last six years; he was living with me the last three years at the time I borrowed from him. Over the last three years he was living with me he did some jupdates to my house in the amount of $12k-$13k. During these last 3yrs he didn’t make one house payment or utility bill. My only income is my SSN and the pension I did have was used on updates on my house before he moved in with me. (roof, new AC, waterproofing, etc. I have no savings. So what do I need to do? He has a lot of money….

*. He lived rent-free and didn't contribute to bills.
*. He owes you for the home improvements he made.
Remember, it's best to consult with a lawyer in this matter.
