I am in the middle of a civil suit where my lawyer quit during discovery with no reason why and took all my money. Now I can’t find anyone to represent pro bone. I have all the documents to prove they have embezzled, sold me fraudulent deed, have me shut down to keep me from making payments and so much more. I have the proof to all of this but since the lawyer ran me out of money I don’t know what to do. I have tried legal aid and they say since money is involved they can’t help. What do I do and what is the next step.
Hello ****, I'm sorry to hear about your situation. Could you please tell me which state you are located in? The laws regarding civil suits can vary by location.

I have contacted the bar association and all the lawyers want money up front. Isn’t a lawyer suppose to do so many pro bono a year?
Hi ****, while some lawyers do pro bono work, it's not a requirement. You may want to try:
- Contacting legal aid organizations again, explaining your situation
- Reaching out to non-profit organizations that advocate for civil rights
- Checking with local law schools; they often run clinics where law students provide free legal assistance under the supervision of their professors.
Ok thank you
