Hi Catherine! How can I assist you with your legal issue today?
I am purchasing a used car. I put $* cash down and write a check for the balance. I am supposed to sign loan papers for the purchase but I've discovered the car has a catalytic converter problem and the dealer reset the warning indicators on the dashboard. I brought the car back and they supposedly fixed the catalytic converter but they didn't and the warning light came back on after driving the car * miles. They insist we sign the loan papers but the lending company advises us not to until the car is repaired. They say they will repair it but I don't trust the dealer now. I want to buy the car but I want this problem fixed

- You may report the dealer to the Tennessee Consumer Affairs Division if necessary.
Have you discussed any warranty or return policy with the dealer?
