It sounds like you're dealing with a frustrating situation. Here’s what you can consider:
- Validation of Debt: Request the collection agency to validate the debt if you haven't already.
- FDCPA Violations: Check if the collection agency violated any rights under this act.
- Dispute Process: Send a written dispute within 30 days if you haven’t already.
Have you contacted the gym to resolve the issue directly or requested a debt validation from the collection agency?
Hello Helaman Nzibu, It looks like you have memberships that has been written off to collections. At this point you will need to contact Aldous & Associates to take care of the past due balances. Their number is *-*-*. The accounts are no longer with our office & we can no longer accept payment in our office.
It seems like you have a strong case for disputing this debt. Here are some steps you might consider:
- Contact the Gym: Reach out to them with your credit card statements to prove payment.
- Request Debt Validation: Ask Aldous & Associates to provide proof of the debt.
- File a Complaint: If any FDCPA violations occurred, consider filing a complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB).
