Faulty Car Purchase Resolution

Summary

You may have a case under Californias Used Car Lemon Law, which mandates dealers to offer a two-day contract cancellation option for used cars costing $40,000 or less and to provide a Buyers Guide disclosing whether the car is sold as is or with a warranty. If your car is deemed a lemon, the dealer must repurchase or replace it. Consult a local attorney for personalized advice.

I'm sorry to hear about your situation, Jose. Given that you're in California, you might be protected by the California Used Car Lemon Law. Here are the key points:
- Dealers must offer a two-day contract cancellation option for used cars costing $*,* or less.
- Dealers must provide a "Buyers Guide" which discloses whether the car is being sold "as is" or with a warranty.
- If your car is a "lemon," the dealer is required to repurchase or replace it.
