I have an assessment to get my money back from a lawyer who did nothing. I got another lawyer for the assessment but he did an affidavit incorrect not only the information but spelling errors and grammer. Would the assessment be list because of this
Hey ****! Sorry to hear about the situation. In Ontario, errors in an affidavit, like incorrect information or spelling, might affect the credibility, but they don't automatically invalidate the assessment. You may need to have it corrected or refiled. Have you discussed this issue with your current lawyer?
I did he will not refund me either. I paid $* and its all wrong
It's frustrating to deal with such issues, ****. You might consider the following steps:
- Request a correction or refile of the affidavit from your lawyer.
- Consider filing a complaint with the Law Society of Ontario if your lawyer refuses to address the issue.
- Seek advice from another legal professional about potential next steps.
Would you like assistance in finding another lawyer to help with your case?
