I turned in my computer for servicing. I paid $* for a diagnostic fee initially at time of drop off. I then was told that I needed to pay an additional $* for a service fee for updating certain drivers on the computer, which would in turn fix the touchpad--the original issue with the computer. One week and 2 days after I picked it up, the touchpad stopped working. I took the computer back in and was told I needed to spend an additional $* for a new touchpad. I was told this amount would be for the part itself and the work to put it in the computer. I spoke with the business and I said while I was willing to pay for the part, the part only cost no more than $* from various retailers on the internet. The business then refused to lower the cost saying they would to up charge for their service of installation. I took my computer back and did not pay the additional fee for a new touchpad hardware from the business. I agued that I should only have to pay the price for the part and not any addional service, because my first $* service fee never fixed the problem and my computer is still in the original state it was in before I turned it in to them. My question is can I charge back the $* service fee I originally paid, since nothing was ever fixed?
