I have a pc that was sent in for repairs last november or december * when I received my pc back in january the case was cracked and damaged they wanted me to send it back for another month, but being that I work from home I couldn't. I was checking my specifications in my pc and realized that they changed out my cpu without my knowledge and put in a lesser product without ever telling me. I reached out and asked them to please replace the cpu with the most current cpu available on market and they said no they will onlyput what I paid for what can I legally do about this
Hello ****, I'm sorry to hear about your situation. In New York, you may have a few legal options:
*. Pursue a claim for breach of warranty if the replacement part is not equivalent in kind and quality.
*. File a claim for deceptive business practices if they knowingly replaced with an inferior part.
*. File a claim for damages if the cracked case was due to their negligence.
Please consult with a local attorney for advice tailored to your situation.
