So I was previously on my friends phone plan, and on October 10th I gave her the phone back. So she could turn it back in and get me off the plan as I live in a different area now. She asked me this morning for a payment of $* for the phone plan monthly which is ($*) and requested a payment of $* to pay off the phone. I had given this device back on the 10th of last month. Do I need to pay the whole phone off even if I don't and haven't had the device ?
Hi ****, your obligation to pay depends on the agreement you had with your friend. If there's a written agreement, refer to its terms. If not, some general rules:
- If you agreed to pay off the phone, you may still be responsible.
- If you agreed to return the phone and end the contract, you may not owe anything.
