To calculate a modified sentence, subtract the time off from the original sentence. For example, a 2-year and 6-month sentence with 20 months off results in 10 months remaining. If starting in August 2024, the release would be in June 2025. To find a date 20 months before August 2024, subtract 20 months, resulting in December 2022.
