The profile was a publicly available profile at the time and the lawyer I had never thought the police would come to the house
It appears that the issue has not escalated beyond the initial complaint, especially since it has been over a year with no contact from the police. However, here are some general points to consider:
- Impersonation and unauthorized use of someone's profile can be considered a violation of privacy laws.
- The fact that the profile was publicly available might mitigate the severity of the claim.
- It's always wise to consult with a local attorney who can review the specific circumstances of your case.

Given that it's been over a year and no legal action has been taken, the risk may be low. However, it is advisable to consult with a local attorney to fully understand the implications and any potential legal issues.
