I'm needing to speak to an attorney for criminal charge I got for a first degree forgery charge in Oklahoma and the charge is for forgery of a title warranty deed will or state I have been wrongly accused and there have been fraudulent paperwork filed at the courthouse in order to have me accused
Hello ****, it seems like a challenging situation. Before proceeding, can you confirm if you have any legal representation currently?
I do not
Thank you for the information, ****. As you're without representation in Oklahoma, you have the right to a public defender for your case. You can request one at your first court appearance. Also, consider consulting a private attorney specializing in criminal law.
A public defender I've already requested but it's not going to be able to much help for me my husband has done a lot of very confusing very conflicting and very fraudulent things and meanwhile he is sitting in a jail cell awaiting Federal extradition to a federal prison on federal indictments I need to speak to an attorney a confident experienced attorney on this matter not just a court appointed attorney that's assigned such a workload I don't get to talk to her until the day I go into the courtroom I don't think that will do I don't I want to be exonerated of all these charges
It sounds like you're in a difficult situation, ****. If you feel a public defender can't adequately represent you, consider hiring a private attorney. They often have more time and resources to devote to your case. Oklahoma has many experienced criminal defense attorneys who could help you.
Will I be able to talk to you an attorney on your website today or someone that can help me
I'm afraid we don't offer direct attorney consultations on FreeLawChat. However, we can guide you on how to find a local, experienced attorney. Websites like the Oklahoma Bar Association can help you find a suitable lawyer.
