I’m the pursuer in a civil case against an insurance company. Court documents were sent by the defender to a retail unit I manage. Before any follow-up to my solicitor, their paralegal phoned my employer’s generic customer service line to pursue these documents. She gave her name, law firm, and a case reference. While I wasn’t named, the call triggered escalation internally, and colleagues became aware of my private legal matter. I thought I had responded via a letter from my line manager sent to my solicitor. I have a recording of the call, but the legal firm denies it happened. I believe this may breach UK GDPR (Articles *(*)(a), *(*)(c)) and Section * of the Data Protection Act *. I’m seeking advice on whether I can raise a complaint or claim.

I gave evidence from my lawer that they denied the call was made. They were clearly unaware I gave a recording.

No one lies over a mistake. They admit it.
