My bank account was garnished from the Franchise Tax Board. I had my daughter on my account just to withdraw money for me because I don’t drive and most the time I’m too sick to go the bank. Well, they garnished my account that she owes, but the type of garnishment that I’m protected under is Social Security benefits and my Civil Service Retirement benefits.
