workplace harassment - retaliation for reporting a workplace injury
What state are you located in, ****? This will help me provide the most accurate information regarding your situation.
arizona
What specific actions have been taken against you since you reported the injury?
In Arizona, retaliation for reporting a workplace injury is illegal under the Occupational Safety and Health Act.
Every day I was on light duty I was asked to do things that go against my restrictions and laughed at. After I got off restrictions everyone had kind of a bad attitude toward me like they just wanted me to quit. Now a man I do not know or work directly with (he is an employee in another area) has been allowed to harass me. He has screamed obscenities at me on camera, finds me in the airport where we work, allowed in our morning meetings where he has tried to rub against me. I have contacted HR, he stopped answering me and quit. When I did have a sit down with him he kept asking me what I did to start the incident. I told him it was on camera, so if he watches it he will see I did nothing. He told me directly he didn't want to see it but still wanted to know what I did to start the incident. New HR guy has almost no contact with me after receiving my statements, all the while the guy that is harassing me is still hanging around our area. I feel like they give me any excuse they can think of just to let this man harass me into quitting. Now my manager is are offering to move me to a new location like I did something wrong, they just don't want to see my face like they hate me for taking advantage of my right to use the laws that protect workers.

It's important to file a complaint with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). They handle cases of workplace harassment and retaliation.
I will look into that.
What evidence do you have to support your claim?
In Arizona, it's crucial to have evidence when filing a complaint with the EEOC. This can include emails, text messages, or witness statements.
I have emails where I have contacted HR. Text messages where I contacted my boss. There is video footage of him during most of the incidents because we are always on camera at the airport. I have statements I have sent to the first HR guy and the second. I have text messages I sent to myself where I started documenting issues as they happen.
What is the name of your employer? This will help me provide you with more specific information. In Arizona, employers are required to provide a safe and harassment-free workplace.
