What about specific advice to my case?
To provide more specific information, could you share details about your employment issue? For example, are you dealing with a matter related to wages, discrimination, or workplace safety? This will help me give you more targeted information.
I am currently at a placement through an employment agency called Personnel by Elsie as a Warehouse Supervisor (*-month contract) at a Chemical Manufacturer called BASF. I started the position on Monday, June 23rd * after being interviewed the previous Friday. After my first few days working at this job, I realized this was a terrible mistake, and that I would rather be back on Employment Insurance Benefits as I had been receiving them for about the last 2 months. All other aspects of employment are apparently the same as the ESA minimum requirements. Please help. I don't know what to do and I need to get out of this so badly.
To leave your job and return to Employment Insurance (EI) benefits, consider the following:
- Resignation: You can resign from your position, but you may not immediately qualify for EI benefits unless you have a valid reason.
- Discuss with your agency: They might help you find another placement or advise on your options.
- Valid reasons for EI: If the job affects your health or safety, or if the working conditions are significantly different from what was promised, you might qualify for EI upon resignation.
