Hey ****! Are you dealing with an issue related to employment rights, such as unpaid wages, discrimination, or wrongful termination? Let me know a bit more so I can guide you with relevant information.
I’ve had several medical issues including surgeries the past couple years and have been working in between them. I am currently recovering from a back surgery. None of these injuries were workmen cop cases however they are injuries that occurred while performing my job duties. My concern is the company is setting me up to get rid of me because now I’m just a liability.
It sounds like you're worried about potential unfair treatment or termination due to your medical condition and surgeries. It's important to know that certain laws protect employees with medical conditions. Here are a few key points:
- The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) prohibits discrimination against employees with disabilities.
- The Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) allows eligible employees to take unpaid leave for medical reasons.
- Texas labor laws also protect against wrongful termination.
Have you received any indication from your employer about changes to your employment status?
Not yet, my doctor was supposed to send the paperwork over and did not. I just followed up with my doctor about that today so I’m working on getting it back to them so they can get it back to my employer.
