Teacher Accommodation Rights
Summary
Teachers in California are protected under the ADA and FEHA, which require reasonable accommodations for disabilities. Harassment or a hostile work environment based on disability is prohibited. HR should not disclose medical information to unauthorized persons, including the principal if they are the subject of the complaint. Signing accommodation paperwork in front of the principal, especially if it worsens the condition, is not appropriate. Consider consulting an employment attorney for specific legal advice and potential actions.Full Conversation
