I have recently left a job where my personal phone number is being held under the company plan and the owner refuses to let me port it out

Yes I have reached out to ask for it, he said no it needs to stay on company due to client contact and possible future client contact, I also tried with phone provider but he locked my number, I have an employment agreement but it does not address a phone number
