I am an exempt salaried employee. In January of *, I was granted * hours of PTO. In December of *, HR informed me I that I had been given * extra hours in error and that I should have only received * hours of PTO balance given. I was told I had already taken * hours. I had * hours remaining that had already been approved from August * scheduled on December * and *. I was told if I wanted to keep the days off I would need to make up the hours prior to the scheduled day by work extra hours during the week on weekend. My calendar currently had me scheduled as a required attendance to be available from 8am to 6pm on November * and November *. When I asked could this time be used to makes up for the * hours, I was told no by both HR and my manager who said she did not anticipate us working enough on those days and she would like me to complete the full eight hours on other days. HR declined this suggestion as well stating that already assigned hours could not count.
