I live and work in oregon. I just returned back to work after taking family leave and bonding. I came back to work and owe payment for insurance covered during leave. My employer took my entire check without notice or consent. They are now taking all my wages for this reason.

It sounds like you're dealing with a challenging situation. In Oregon, there are specific laws about wage deductions:
- Employers must provide written notice before making deductions.
- Deductions must be authorized in writing by the employee.
Have you received any written notice or paperwork regarding these deductions from your employer?
they emailed me once i brought up the issues AFTER they had already done the deductions and stated what they would be doing going forward. I did not give consent or authorization

You are not legally required to inform your employer that you are filing a complaint with BOLI (Bureau of Labor and Industries). However, it might be beneficial to consult with BOLI or a lawyer before making any decisions, as they can provide guidance specific to your situation.
