I was turned down for a raise and had been working at the org for 6 years. The president of the board hired his brother in law as my assistant full time- I suggested part. The person had no experience or skills relevant. Instead of me writing his contract, it was done behind my back and it disclosed. He was hired as my assistant director. I was given the raise I asked for when he was hired. I found out a few weeks later he is making the same as me. The board of directors was not given his resume nor was the relationship shared in his introduction mtg. I needed support as I was doing two jobs. I wanted our2 candidates to be part time and have specific roles. He redefined the roles and only allowed the other candidate to work minimal hours and make almost nothing. And then insisted his brother in law be full time- and I found out later that we are paid the same I said I didn’t think it was a full time role for him because he isn’t able to do the th me things needed. He was not local and had limited skills. I was told it was full time and it is the only contract I did not write. Or even see
