The paid leave act took affect in January * but my employer has not given any pto (* hour per * hours worked) do they have to legally give me back pay/pto from the hours they have not given so far?
Hello Tatiana, under the Illinois Employee Sick Leave Act:
- Employers are required to allow employees to use at least half of their accrued sick leave for family care purposes.
- If your employer has not been providing PTO, they may be in violation of this Act.

If i have not received pto from every * hours i worked since janurary, am i obligated to back pay
