My grandmother in law passed away 4 years ago and we recently got a tax bill in the mail and on it it states that the owners of the house or my sister-in-law and my husband however on the deed to the house which is a quitclaim deed it states it's subject to a life estate. My grandfather in law is listed on that as well as my grandma in law. My grandfather in law is still alive and living in the house so I'm not understanding why we are being billed?
