Guardianship And Custody Concerns

My mother and I are in Lancaster PA and have guardianship of my *.5 year old grandson. He has been with us since he was 3 months old. Both parents were struggling with drug addiction. During the time we have had him, the mother has come to see him * to * times. She will call, make arrangements but then she doesn't show up or call to cancel or reschedule. They have lived in a hotel for 3 years and struggle to pay rent. 3 days ago she had me served with a temp PFA and it states that the child must remain in the custody of the mother until hearing

She is refusing to let anyone talk to him. They have no experience taking care of a child. Asked police to do a welfare check. Officer called back saying they were evicted 2 months ago. I have no idea where she has him, what the living conditions are, if he is being taken care of and safe. We filed for an emergency custody hearing but don't know how soon that will be in front of a judge so I need to know what my options are for finding out where he is and have a welfare check done

We have an attorney for the emergency custody hearing but he said it might take some time to find out where she is because until the PFA hearing happens she is considered a victim. She has nothing to support a PFA because I have no relationship with her, but the PFA says her boyfriend is not allowed unsupervised contact with the child and I have no idea why or what he did. The reason for the PFA is because I don't return her calls and will not let her see her son. Both are not tras well as the state police.can the state police help me with this?ue, and the local police where I live said they could not believe she was given a temp PFA for those reasons because neither of those out her in danger or suggest that I am doing anything wrong. No thanks not at this time. We have a family law attorney working on the emergency custody documents. I am also going to see if he will represent me or get another attorney to help me file for permanent custody of him. The father supports that as well

One more question. How long after a divorce decree is signed can the decision be challenged or appealed in Pa

I believe I have a case of legal malpractice and my ex lied during her testimony and my attorney wasn't able to be there and the judge awarded her half the value of my home. It was purchased after our separation and that means it is not a marital asset and a few other laws stating she is not entitled to my home. She then was given POA to sell it, and she sold it for under value and when she got her half I got nothing because of the price it sold for and the payoff amount

My divorce was uncontested and I submitted a no fault divorce documents to the court. The day we met to sign, she refused and said that her boyfriend said she is entitled to half the house and they got an attorney. So then I had to get one. The day before the hearing my attorney called and said she can't be at the hearing because she needs to have surgery in the morning and she requested a continuance but has not heard from the court so I was told to go and explain and request one myself. The master denied my request. So the hearing happened without my attorney so I could not proticipate in the hearing. My attorney was angry and said the request should not have been denied and she was going to have it thrown out and demand a new one. Well when I was finally able to talk to my attorney, the judge already ruled in her favor and then 30 days had already expired for an appeal.

My attorney said the firm hadn't been paying her because I wasn't paying my payments and I said that isn't true and sent her a screenshot of my account showing the payments were made. She said she left the firm and they should have contacted me to assign another attorney and they didn't and they no longer had a pa location and the decree was sent to my attorney but it had the wrong address for me so I never received the decree until after the 30 days to appeal and that was it
