AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title * and Title *, Chapter *, relative to prenatal cannabinoid use.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE: SECTION *. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section *-*-*(b)(*), is amended by
adding ", and abuse does not exist solely on the basis of a positive test result for cannabinoids on a prenatal or newborn drug screening" after "caretaker".
SECTION *. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section *-*-*(b)(*), is amended by deleting subdivision (E) and substituting:
(E) Knowingly or with gross negligence allowing a child under eight (*) years of age to ingest an illegal substance or a controlled substance that results in the child testing positive on a drug screen, except as legally prescribed to the child or due to exposure to cannabinoids that occurred in utero; or
