Missed Child Support Hearing
Summary
If you missed a child support hearing and are now held in contempt, you should contact the court immediately to explain the situation and request a new hearing. You may need to provide evidence that you did not receive the hearing notice. Additionally, consult with a family law attorney to discuss your options for addressing the contempt charge and the purge payment. Taking prompt action can help mitigate further legal consequences.Full Conversation

Nice to meet you, Brian. Could you please describe the legal issue you're facing?
I didn’t get your response
I apologize for the confusion earlier. Could you please clarify the legal issue you're facing so I can assist you better?
I have an open child support case. I was scheduled a hearing for motion to contempt. I missed that hearing because I never received the documents with date and time. So know I’m held in contempt because I missed the hearing and courts also added a purge payment. How do I handle this.
What state are you in? This will help me provide the most accurate information.
