I'm really sorry to hear about your situation. It sounds very challenging. Have you considered contesting the guardianship petition in court? You might be able to provide your Power of Attorney and any other relevant documents as evidence.
I did contest it and I had a lot of witness references friends police officers and fireman to speak on my character and that knew me and my wife telling them we were always in a great mood never argued but I know the judge was biased and didn't look at my references or read any of my letter
It sounds like you're dealing with a really tough situation. Have you considered appealing the judge's decision or seeking a new hearing? Sometimes presenting the evidence in a different manner or in front of a different judge can help.
I don't know what to do if I knew how to get that judge removed and a new judge because the family had been speaking with him and didn't even notify me of the guardianship being filed I had to stumble across it and found out
I'm really sorry to hear that you're going through this. In Kansas, you can request a judge's recusal if you believe there's bias. Here are some steps you can take:
- File a Motion for Recusal: You can file a formal motion requesting the judge to recuse themselves from the case.
- Provide Evidence of Bias: Include any evidence that shows the judge may be biased.
- Consult with an Attorney: A family law attorney can provide specific guidance and help you with the process.
