I have an estranged parent that I am no contact with for the past 6 years. I was abused by this person as a child and have experienced harassment and cyberstalking as an adult. This person is in the hospital and I’m being harassed by family members and having the police sent to my house. I have never heard from a healthcare representative needing to get in touch with a family member. Do I have any legal obligation to do anything at this time?

You might consider seeking a restraining order to prevent harassment. Have you considered speaking with a lawyer about your rights and protections?
