Court Appointed Attorney Timeline

Summary

In Oregon, the court must ensure legal representation in Child Protective Services (CPS) cases. If you fired your court-appointed attorney and have not been assigned a new one, it should be done promptly to avoid delays. If your trial is approaching and you still lack representation, contact the court immediately to request a new attorney and possibly a postponement. You can reach the Oregon Judicial Department at (503) 986-5582 or visit their website.
