Filing For Spousal Support
Summary
If youre financially dependent and separated, you may qualify for emergency spousal support in New Jersey. Courts consider factors like income, financial need, and the duration of the marriage. Emergency support is typically not retroactive unless ordered by the court, so filing promptly is crucial. Violating a Final Restraining Order (FRO) through cyberstalking or unauthorized access can lead to criminal charges and harm the violators credibility in court. Courts may impose stricter penalties or modify the FRO for additional protections. If you have no income and need immediate relief, you can file for pendente lite support and request attorney fees if the other party is the sole provider. Consult a local attorney or legal aid organization for personalized advice.Full Conversation

Are currently separated due to an FRO and the defendant upon the separation I’ve been financially starved. I think that was intentional so I will not be able to afford an attorney. I didn’t really know my rights so I went into that hearing and got a fire around me because I have no representation. I have no defense and his lawyer would not let me say anything without screaming objection so I lost the case, and it wasn’t until after the case, I found the videos that directly contradict some things that he said, directly contradict the victim role-
It sounds like you're dealing with a difficult situation. If you believe the FRO (Final Restraining Order) was unfairly decided, you might have options:
- Appeal the FRO: Appeals must generally be filed within 45 days of the decision.
- File for Modification: You may request the court to modify or dissolve the FRO if you have new evidence.
- Seek Legal Aid: Look into free or low-cost legal assistance through legal aid organizations in New Jersey.
Would you like help finding legal aid or more details on any of these options?

Also, I have some videos that show that he made some false on the road false accusations- he portrayed himself to be so scared of me, but I have videos of me yelling at me. So I need to know if I am eligible for emergency spousal support because I have been starved literally starved. I have no clothing no water eating saltines.
