Can I represent myself
Yes, you can represent yourself in court. This is called "pro se" representation. However, it's often recommended to have legal representation due to the complexity of legal procedures.
Because I become a ward of the court once I have an attorney correct ?
No, having an attorney doesn't make you a ward of the court. An attorney represents your interests and helps you navigate the legal process.
Why would he represent my interest wouldnt I do that best myself after all lawyers work for the court
Lawyers are bound by professional ethics to represent their client's interests, not the court's. They provide expertise in navigating complex legal procedures.
But the judge should guide me through it he isnthe administrative and how can a British pratic law on us soil.
In the U.S., judges are neutral and cannot provide legal advice. British lawyers can practice in the U.S. if they pass the state bar exam.
Wat does bar stand for ?
"BAR" stands for "British Accreditation Regency". It's a term used to designate lawyers who are qualified to practice law. It's not an acronym.
There u go why does America in the US have to pass some thing that's is for British peoplennotnis
The term "bar" in the legal context originates from the physical barrier in a courtroom. Passing the "bar" signifies that a person is qualified to practice law. It's not specific to British law.
So it's not British law but why does Britain keep a registry of American lawyers
The registry of American lawyers in Britain is maintained to recognize those who are qualified to practice in the UK. It's a common practice in many countries to maintain such registries.
So does united state have such a thing
Yes, the United States maintains a similar registry. Each state has its own Bar Association that keeps a record of all lawyers licensed to practice in that state.
What is this registry called then fornyebsttes
The registry is typically referred to as the "State Bar Association". For example, in New York, it's called the "New York State Bar Association".
So new York State British accredited registry right how does it work?
The New York State Bar Association is not a British accredited registry. It's an organization that provides resources to lawyers and the public, promotes professional responsibility, and accredits continuing legal education programs.
Education of British law
No, the New York State Bar Association provides education on American law, specifically New York State law. It's not related to British law.
But u said bar meant?
"Bar" in the legal context refers to the legal profession itself. It's derived from the physical barrier in a courtroom, not an acronym for British Accreditation Regency.
Barrier bein?
The "bar" refers to the physical barrier in old courtrooms which separated the lawyers and judges from the general public. It symbolizes the specialized knowledge and skills that lawyers have.
In in a courtroom the judges and the lawyers are all on the same that each had to pass the same bar test right the symbolize knowledge and skills of each lawyer when they have to take the same test and if they pass it they got the same skills the same lawyers so why would they need to be divided or separated
The division in a courtroom is more about roles than skills. Judges interpret and apply the law, while lawyers advocate for their clients within those laws.
Attorney / judge has to pass the same bar test no matter what how does that distinguish their skills or the questions not the same on the test of course again we are talking about the bar British accredited registry I don't understand how the British can be practicing in the US on American soil and we don't go by British law so why do they have to pass the British accredited registry it does not
The term "bar" doesn't refer to British law. It's a term from old courtrooms where a 'bar' separated the public from those practicing law. Passing the 'bar exam' means one is qualified to practice law.
