After 2 years of living in my home my landlord is now saying I have to deal with him come every other month to do a walkthrough instead of living in peace I have to constantly deal with him coming every other month
Does your lease agreement specify the frequency of landlord inspections?
No
In North Carolina, landlords can enter for inspections but the law doesn't specify frequency. If it's not in your lease, it's generally assumed reasonable notice and frequency.
So they can enter every other month for the entire time i live here?
In North Carolina, landlords must provide "reasonable notice" before entering. However, "reasonable" isn't defined. If you feel it's excessive, consider discussing it with your landlord or seek legal advice.
